Student Accident Insurance Services

The Vendor is required to provide student accident insurance.
- Accidental Injury – 24 Hour Coverage: Provides coverage for accidental injuries occurring around-theclock, at home, at school, on weekends and during the summer. Coverage shall include all organized youth sports activities (except Interscholastic High School Tackle Football).
- Coverage shall also include all sponsored sports (except Interscholastic High School Tackle Football) as well as direct and uninterrupted travel to and from the insured’s residence and scheduled classes and travel to and from other school sponsored activities while as a member of a group in a vehicle furnished and operated by the school, or District contracted transportation vendor.
- Health Plan Coverage: Provides benefits for injury and sickness which occur anytime, worldwide, excluding interscholastic athletics. The health plan shall be available for all District students ages 13 to 21 as indicated above.
- Dental Coverage: Provides dental coverage for accidental dental injuries to sound, natural teeth.
- Short-Term 24- Hour Coverage: Provides coverage for students when on an overnight field trip or where students may not be directly supervised (such as camping, ski trips, amusement parks, etc.)
- Blanket School Band/Chorus Coverage: Provide coverage for accidental injuries occurring while participating in the school sponsored and supervised band or chorus programs. The District has an estimated 2800 students that participate in band/chorus.
- Blanket Program Coverage: Provides coverage for accidental injuries occurring while participating in a school sponsored and supervised program. The District has an estimated 1750 students that participate in 
- Summertime Athletic Conditioning Insurance Coverage: Provides coverage for all student athletes participating in a summer conditioning program, including football.
- Catastrophic Injury Coverage: Provides coverage on all school athletic activities.
- Blanket Field Trip Coverage: Provides coverage for all District students on all field trips throughout the year including transportation to and from athletic competitions. The District has an estimated 24,000 students.
