The Vendor is required to provide independent employee benefits consultant to provide comprehensive consulting services related to the county’s group health and employee benefit programs.
- General Consulting Services
• Serve as the County’s primary advisor on all employee benefit matters
• Provide strategic guidance on plan design, funding strategies, and cost containment
• Maintain regular communication with County staff and be available for consultation as needed
• Attend meetings with County staff and Commissioners Court as requested
- Plan Design & Renewal Strategy
• Develop and present annual renewal strategies, including alternative plan design options
• Provide financial and actuarial analysis supporting recommendations
• Assist in evaluating current plan performance and recommending changes to improve outcomes
• Provide projections of future cost trends and funding impacts
- Claims Analysis & Reporting
• Provide ongoing analysis of claims data, including identification of trends and cost drivers
• Deliver written reports on a quarterly basis at minimum, or more frequently as requested
• Identify opportunities for cost containment and program improvements
• Benchmark plan performance against similar public entities
- Employee Communication & Support
• Assist in development of employee communication materials related to benefits
• Provide support during open enrollment, including presentations if requested
• Be available to assist with employee benefit-related questions as needed.
