• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current IT processes and software to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and areas of improvement.
• Create a well-defined strategic plan with short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals that align with our available resources.

• Benchmark IT maturity against industry standards and best practices to highlight areas for improvement.

o MS govern is the treasurer's real estate tax management software created by city govern for CAMA use.
o IT imports assessment data, calculates taxes levied on properties, applies payments to those taxes, generates reports related to all the above.
o RECO (revenue collection) is the cashiering software that feeds into MS govern and allows for the recording of payments.
o Avanade (ASYSCO) is the primary accounting software used by the treasurer's office.
o IT is responsible for recording the cash flow of the office and reconciling accounts utilized by multiple departments.
• Conduct a comprehensive inventory and assessment of existing IT systems to identify those that are outdated, redundant, or no longer fit for purpose.
• Provide expert recommendations on the selection and implementation of new IT systems, ensuring alignment with organizational needs, scalability, and security best practices.
• Create implementation roadmap including milestones and timelines.
o Develop a phased implementation plan for system replacement, including timelines, resource needs, and risk mitigation strategies.
o Ensure data migration planning and execution is secure, accurate, and minimally disruptive to operations.
o Establish performance metrics and success criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of new systems post-implementation.

• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and accessibility standards throughout the software lifecycle.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering to ensure software solutions meet operational, technical, and user needs.
