The Vendor is required to provide a mobile device management system.
- Core MDM Functionality
• Protocol Compliance: The solution must be in full compliance with all current and future Apple Mobile Device Management (MDM) protocols.
• Multi-Platform Management: The solution must provide full management capabilities for the following Apple operating systems:
o iOS
o iPadOS
o MacOS
o TvOS
o VisionOS
• AppleTV Management: The solution must include AppleTV management capabilities at no additional cost.
• Apple Classroom Integration: The solution must provide full support for Apple Classroom management tools, enabling teachers to manage and guide classroom activities.
- Security and Compliance
• Endpoint Security: The solution must provide robust endpoint security features for both iOS and MacOS devices, including but not limited to:
o Passcode policy enforcement
o Device encryption
o Remote lock and wipe capabilities
o Compliance reporting
• Web Filtering & Security: The solution must include comprehensive web filtering and security features to protect students and staff from inappropriate or malicious content.
• This functionality must be configurable and manageable by the District.
• Parental Controls: The solution must provide granular parental control features that allow the District to restrict access to specific apps, content, and device features.
- Device and User Management
• Automated Workflows: The solution must offer automated workflows to streamline device enrollment, configuration, and app deployment.
• App Catalog: The solution must provide an App Catalog for MacOS and iPadOS, allowing the District to curate a list of approved applications for user self-service installation.
• Screen Sharing: The solution must include secure screen sharing capabilities to facilitate remote troubleshooting and support for end-user devices.
• Content Delivery Network (CDN): The solution must leverage a CDN for hosting and deploying apps to ensure fast and reliable delivery to all devices.
- Identity & Access Management
• Single Sign-On (SSO): The solution must support Single Sign-On, integrating with the District's existing identity providers to simplify user authentication.
• Cloud-Based Identity Management: The solution must include a robust identity management solution that allows the District to streamline Mac login and account provisioning using cloud-based identity providers (e.g., Microsoft Azure AD, Google Workspace).
