The Vendor is required to provide post-hire occupational health assessments.
- The brick-and-mortar facility may be used to supplement mobile onsite services when necessary to support scheduling needs and ensure continuous service availability.
- Services shall include:
• Respirator fit testing: quantitative fit tests for personnel using negative and positive pressure respiratory protection.
• Medical evaluations: for employees exposed to airborne contaminants such as asbestos, lead, or cadmium.
• Audiometric testing: annual hearing assessments for personnel exposed to noise levels above 85 dba.
• Physical examinations & biological monitoring.
• For employees working in hazardous environments. - Mobile onsite services
• Supplier-operated self-sufficient mobile medical units providing all required examinations and testing at commission worksites.
• Each mobile unit must maintain operability independent of external utilities for a full business day.
• Mobile units must be fully equipped to minimize reliance on external facilities. - Brick-and-mortar facility
• A licensed medical facility where personnel may receive scheduled evaluations and testing.
• The facility must comply with all local, state, and federal medical regulations and be located within the commission customer service area.
- Medical personnel requirements.
• Healthcare professionals must hold current and valid licenses or certifications in the state.
• All medical services shall be performed by qualified healthcare professionals, including:
• Physicians, physician assistants (pa), or nurse practitioners (np) under physician supervision.
• Certified audiologists or technicians trained in audiometric testing.
• Certified technicians for respirator fit testing and biological monitoring.
- Data reporting & compliance.
• Electronic transmission of medical results must use encrypted systems approved by commission.
• Submit all medical results electronically through the designated portal.
• Maintain the confidentiality of medical records and comply with health insurance portability and accountability act (HIPAA) regulations.
• Securely store medical records in a manner approved by commission and shall be accessible at both the mobile unit and the brick-and-mortar facility.
- Location & accessibility
• Provide medical evaluations at the mobile unit, the brick-and-mortar facility, or both.
• Ensure the brick-and-mortar facility is located within the city metropolitan area and is accessible to commission employees.
• Ensure both mobile units and the brick-and-mortar facility can accommodate medical examinations, testing, and secure record-keeping.
