RFP Description

The vendor required to provide medical screening services for include:
- Medical testing
1. Physical examination
•    Reviewing the office and office member’s (or other county employee’s) medical release form and the osha questionnaire;
•    Conducting an in-depth patient history, including the office and office member’s (or other county employee’s) proof of MMR and chicken pox vaccinations and exposures. 
•    office and office members will bring their previous year data and medical history with them for the physician’s review;
•    Performing a hands-on physical examination for evaluation of respiratory, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, ear, nose, throat (ENT), genitourinary and lymphatic systems to critically assess for chemical and physical agent and carcinogenic exposures; and
- Medical records
1. Confidentiality
•    The consultant shall strictly observe all applicable laws of confidentiality and access to medical records, including, but not limited to the health insurance portability and accountability act of 1996, as amended by the security provisions of the american recovery and reinvestment act of 2009 (also known as the health information technology for economic and clinical health act, or the “Hitech act,” as each may be further amended from time to time), and their implementing regulations.
2. Transfer of medical records
•    Contract termination or contract expiration, whichever is earlier, the consultant shall, within fifteen (15) calendar days after such termination or expiration, transfer all office candidate and office member (or other county employee) medical records directly to the county’s new or designated provider or the county, whichever the county directs.
- Medical personnel
•    All services must be performed under the supervision of the physician. 
•    Any testing performed by certified technicians, qualified physician’s assistants, registered nurses, or nurse practitioners shall be conducted under the auspices of the physician. 
•    The consultant shall have sufficient staff and facilities to ensure continuous, complete, efficient, and timely services.
