The vendor is required to professional consulting services consisting of analyzing the impact of self-storage facilities and land use within the city as described more fully herein.
- The work shall consist of and include, but may not be limited to the following:
• Work with city staff to develop and outline the city’s objectives and needs in connection with the analysis of self-storage facilities and land use.
• Review and assess the current:
(a) Regulations related to self-storage facilities within the city; and
(b) Impact of self-storage facilities within the city, in particular the economic impact.
• Prepare recommendations that could be implemented by the city to achieve its objectives and needs related to self-storage facilities.
• Recommendations should consider, account for, and include:
(a) The varied neighborhoods and zoning districts throughout the city;
(b) Self-storage facilities of varying sizes;
(c) Mechanisms for implementation, including amendment to the city zoning ordinance, the permitting process, and permit applications; and
(d) Existing applicable local, state, and federal laws, codes, and regulations, including but not limited to the state environmental quality review act, electrical codes, fire codes, and building codes.
