The Vendor is required to provide the ability to (1) consultant services, program management, and other resources to agency to assist with design, planning, and transition activities, as well as implementation support activities, as necessary to expand the next generation my care state program statewide and (2) consulting and technical assistance regarding serving youth with complex needs.
- Provide quality services to improve the health of the individual, their family, and community. The resulting Next Generation my care Program was designed to meet those goals.
- One tenet of the Next Generation programs is to provide improved access to care for children and youth with complex behavioral health and other multi-system challenges.
- Assist agency with developing new or amending existing waivers and/or drafting state plan amendments to support changes required by the Next Generation my care program, and negotiating approval with centers for medicare and medicaid services (CMS).
- As needed, assist agency with updating Next Generation my care policies and obtaining required federal approvals.
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) technical assistance in program policy and operations to support agency in:
• Finalizing the Next Generation my care model agreement; and
• Developing Next Generation my care guidelines.
- Assist with responses to state leaderships questions and provide direction regarding next generation my care provider agreement requirements.
- Develop and monitor a master work plan inclusive of tasks, schedule, roles and responsibilities, and milestones, and develop and distribute different levels of tracking and dashboard reporting for state staff and leadership.
- Participate in teleconferences with agency to monitor, track, and report on progress of tasks that may impact the next generation my care readiness process.
- Provide consulting services to support agency with identifying opportunities in the medicaid program to strengthen assistance to children and youth with complex behavioral health and other multi-system challenges.
- Identify, examine, and make recommendations about medicaid supports for the target population.
- Leverage selected vendor staff subject matter expertise in policy, program design, clinical supports, delivery systems, and financing to advance care for the target population.
- Engage with agency leadership as an advisor to advance decision making.
- Provide limited project planning to assist with organizing and accounting for policy, program, clinical support, delivery system, and financing work.
