The vendor is required to provide to manage the creation of a holistic, multidisciplinary active shooter emergency action plan that adheres to the planning process developed by the department.
- Provide to create a plan that integrates both prevention of and response to violent attacks targeting county staff and facilities.
- Strategies must be included in the county’s active shooter emergency action plan (ASEAP), along with necessary actions, methods and tools to accomplish each strategy:
• Recognition and reporting of concerning behaviors
• Threat assessment and management
• Building access control
• Emergency notification procedures
• Evacuation routes and rally points
• Emergency responder coordination
• Accounting for personnel after an event
• Communication management
• Incident recovery.
- The planning process and resulting plan must utilize a trauma informed approach and language and include considerations and actionable steps to support individuals with visual, hearing and/or mobility challenges.
