Medical Consulting Services

The vendor is required to provide medical consulting services for include:
• Consultant shall meet once each semester with the student health services staff on each of the three campuses for the purpose of in-service training, discussion of policies, procedures and protocols, and making recommendations for appropriate medical decisions. 
• Consultant shall provide consulting services relating to students by telephone and electronic communication as required by any of the registered nurses working on any of the three college campuses. 
• Consultant shall, in his professional discretion, sign orders for the dispensing of medication to students by the registered nurses at any of the three college campuses. 
• The consultant shall also approve and sign prescribed emergency procedures and protocols to be used by the registered nurses. 
• Consultant shall be available by telephone or for in-person meetings to provide medical recommendations should a serious healthcare crisis impacting student(s) arise e.g., covid-19, h1n1 flu, Ebola, Lassa fever. 
• Consultant shall provide consulting services relating to employee reasonable accommodation requests and other medical-related requests by telephone and electronic communication as required by the college’s office of human resources.
