The vendor is required to provide benefits consulting plan has the fiduciary obligation to maintain employee benefits without jeopardizing access to care of quality to its members.
• Independent and objective assessment of plan benefits including cost containment strategies and overall optimization strategies.
• Expert and objective opinions regarding optimal funding strategies for the plan.
• Serve as a liaison to vendor partners and provide oversight of vendor partner performance and ROI monitoring.
• Deliver innovative programs and solutions with the plan and as to how the plan provides healthcare insurance to its members and retirees.
• Monitoring and strategies related to domestic provider utilization and performance.
• Perform monthly and quarterly meetings with benefits professionals to review benefit plan performance and strategy.
• Provide updates as to relevant legislative and compliance matters as well as overall compliance implementation.
• Implementation and communication of new benefits or changes to existing benefits.
• Assist in annual enrollment education and communication processes.
• Perform annual liability projections and premium equivalent and cobra rate setting.
• Provide ad hoc and ongoing plan performance and underlying driver reviews.
• Provide member-level support and benefits team-level support.
• Transition responsibility: assume responsibility for a smooth transition of responsibilities (including obtaining such records and data as may be required) so that service to the university and participants will continue uninterrupted and efficiently.
