The Vendor is required to provide to serve as agency federal advocate to plan, develop, coordinate, and implement advocacy services and provide comprehensive lobbying services.
- Asked by state and federal law with long-range planning for the region but also plays an important role in working with local partners to advance more immediate solutions to some of the region’s shared challenges of transportation, housing, air quality, climate change and the protection of the region’s agricultural and natural resources.
- Consultant will:
• Implement and provide federal advocacy services to meet the established goals, ensuring agency complies with federal lobbying regulations
• Contact/meet with federal officials on behalf of agency.
• Set up meetings/connections between federal officials and agency staff and board members.
• File all applicable reporting and disclosure requirements, including any required filings by agency.
• Develop/assist agency with comments, responses, and replies to requests to rules, regulations, and bill development.
• Identify potential funding sources to accelerate infill development and transportation projects.
