The vendor required to provide autism waiver consultant services for include:
• Monitor secure server and dedicated emails for the transfer of information from provider agencies, service coordinators, families, and the department.
• Screen individualized education programs (IEPS) and submitted documentation to determine technical eligibility for individuals interested in receiving an opportunity to apply to the AW.
• Respond to inquiries from families, providers, and service coordinators seeking information about the AW and make appropriate and informed referrals.
• Monitor progress and track correspondence regarding eligibility determination for prospective and current AW participants.
• Track data, analyze trends, and prepare quarterly performance reports as per the centers for medicare and Medicaid services (CMS) approved autism waiver (AW) application, legislative requests, and departmental needs.
• Track status of programming for transition youth (ty) and update database as required.
• Review and approve AW requests and documents as requested, such as: plans of care (POC), requests for billing or technical support, live-in caregiver (LICG) exemption requests, etc.
• Participate in training and technical assistance to service coordinators and provider agencies as requested.
• Assist the provider interagency Medicaid monitoring team (PIMMT) with monitoring AW provider agencies to ensure compliance with the code of state regulations (COMAR) 10.09.56 for the AW.
