The Vendor is required to provide general consultant including a registered municipal advisor, is needed to provide the Board with expertise on the state-run retirement program industry, including trends in customer service standards, pricing, program comparison analyses, and relevant federal law and regulation.

- Contributions are made directly from the employee’s payroll into an IRA, with the option to change their contributions, or opt out, at any time.
- Maintain awareness of other similar state-administered retirement savings programs and/or federal programs.
- Provide updates on industry developments, including legislative and regulatory changes.
- Provide analysis as needed of agency vendors, particularly in the areas of recordkeeping, custodial services, and customer service standards.
- Develop a process to evaluate the Program Administrator’s performance and assist the Executive Director in undertaking due diligence to assess compliance with and adherence to agreed-upon performance metrics.
- Be available to discuss any investment or administrative issues with the Board and/or agency program managers on an as needed basis.
- Attend meetings at the discretion of the Board, as needed, to present research, reports, and analyses and to respond to questions.
