The Vendor is required to provide comprehensive, confidential professional counseling services for sworn and professional (nonsworn) personnel.
- Requirement:
• All employees will be considered self-referred, though guidance towards services available may result from administrative action.
• Employees will have access to counseling as needed based on exposure to recent or past critical incidents encountered as part of their on-the-job duties.
• Employee’s family members may be seen for individual or group counseling, as needed and at the approval of the department head.
• At no time will it be permissible to break contractor and patient-employee confidentiality in order to facilitate the department head’s decision whether family members may be seen.
• Employees referred to or seeking counseling services will receive up to (6) hours of counseling sessions.
• Sessions shall be provided with administrative authorization.
• At no time will it be permissible to break contractor and patient-employee confidentiality in order to facilitate the administrative party’s decision whether additional sessions shall be provided.
• Provide on-site clinical support following a critical incident, as needed
• Provide departmental training on subjects related to mental health and wellness.
• Will participate in department and family outreach events.
• Consult will be available up to 6 hours a week for on-site clinical support and is available for an additional 8 hours a week for virtual sessions.
• Available for telephonic response within (12) hours of initial request.
