The Vendor is required to provide independent technology consulting services in connection with project alpha — a multiphase initiative to procure, install, and operationalize advanced public safety technology infrastructure at the new site of county.
- Requirement:
1. Technology procurement advisory
• Assist the county in developing technology procurements within project alpha.
• Review and evaluate vendor responses and proposals for technical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with county requirements.
• Provide written technical evaluations and scoring support to central dispatch’s procurement team.
• Advise on industry best practices, emerging standards, and market pricing for public safety technologies.
2. Installation and implementation oversight
• Monitor vendor installation and implementation activities to verify adherence to contract specifications.
• Review and assess project schedules, milestones, and deliverables submitted by technology vendors.
• Identify and report risks, issues, or deviations to the county's project management team.
3. Technical testing and acceptance
• Develop or review acceptance testing criteria and plans for procured systems.
• Observe and participate in acceptance testing processes to verify system performance against specifications.
• Provide written technical acceptance recommendations to central dispatch leadership.
4. Strategic technology advisory
• Provide ongoing strategic advice on technology roadmaps, interoperability, and future readiness of public safety communications infrastructure.
• Attend project meetings, county board presentations, and stakeholder briefings as requested.
• Prepare written reports, briefings, and recommendations as directed by central dispatch.
