The Vendor is required to provide professional traffic control support services, including but not limited to traffic control officers, water barricades, Type I barricades, traffic safety equipment, and assistance with roadway closures and traffic management throughout the duration of the event.
- Recommend supplementary alternatives, staffing plans, equipment options, or operational strategies that may improve public safety, reduce impacts to surrounding traffic circulation, enhance event operations, and/or reduce costs to the City while maintaining high-quality professional services.
- Provide qualified traffic control personnel and equipment necessary to support all approved street closures, traffic diversions, and pedestrian safety operations associated with the event.
- Provide traffic control officers/flaggers at designated intersections, closure points, detour locations, and pedestrian crossings
- Furnish, deliver, install, maintain, and remove water barricades, Type I barricades, cones, delineators, signage, and other traffic control devices
- Assist with roadway closures and traffic circulation management along the event route
- Maintain emergency vehicle access routes at all times during the event
- Coordinate directly with City representatives, public safety personnel, and event staff regarding traffic control operations and field adjustments
- Monitor and maintain all traffic control devices throughout the event duration to ensure proper placement and public safety
- Provide setup and breakdown operations before and after event hours
- Respond promptly to any traffic-related issues, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions during the event
- Provide radios or communication devices for field coordination among personnel and City representatives
- Ensure all personnel comply with applicable safety standards and wear appropriate safety apparel and protective equipment
- Required to coordinate with the City regarding approved traffic control plans, closure maps, detour routes, and operational adjustments. The Contractor shall comply with all City-approved traffic management plans and shall only make field modifications under the direction of authorized City personnel.
