The Vendor is required to provide communications partner to elevate its strategic storytelling and community engagement for the 2026-27 school year.
- High-level public relations support while enhancing the district’s social media presence and internal communications workflows.
- Strategic communications
• Develop and implement a district-wide communications plan aligned with district goals and priorities
• Advise district leadership and the board of education on communication strategy, messaging, and public engagement
• Support proactive storytelling that highlights student achievement, staff excellence, and district initiatives
• Ensure consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all schools and departments, encompassing both internal staff communications and external public relations
• Crisis and issue communications support when necessary
• Create communications templates and branding for principal’s newsletters and schoolwide communications
• Review calendars and weekly communications from buildings to be aware of upcoming events to cover
• Connect with faculty regularly, including curriculum coordinators, attend faculty meetings, etc., to learn about the work of the buildings and develop relationships
• Strategic guidance and content support for internal communications directed at faculty and staff to promote district-wide alignment and engagement.
• Develop budget messaging and strategic plan-related messaging throughout the year
• Support principals and other administrators with communication templates, guidance, and messaging support
• Coordinate districtwide newsletters and community updates
• Coordinate coverage with local media
• Education meeting recaps to be shared with the community following meetings
• Additional communications consulting-related assistance as requested by the superintendent or board of education.
- Families
• Increase family awareness and understanding of district programs, initiatives, and decisions
• Develop multilingual and accessible communication practices for all families
• Support community forums, listening sessions, and engagement opportunities
• Strengthen relationships with parents, community organizations, and local partners
- Social media management
• Develop and maintain a district social media presence on Facebook and Instagram
• Create engaging digital content including graphics, videos, photography, and feature stories
• Create video updates for regular community updates
• Monitor analytics and engagement to improve outreach effectiveness
• Evaluate reach and accessibility of district communications across platforms and audiences
- Storytelling
• Support the drafting of content for newsletters, superintendent messages, board updates, and community communications
• Highlight student experiences, instructional programs, extracurricular activities, and district initiatives
• Produce multimedia content, including videos, photography, and promotional materials
• Coordinate communication and promotion for district events and celebrations
• Attend community events and school events, provide coverage and photography.
