Services to live stream and archive everything covered - an average of 2,500 hours of original programming a year – on TheFloridaChannel.org and The Florida Channel’s mobile app as well as ROKU, FireTV, Samsung and AppleTV channels. During its busiest time of the year – approximately six nonconsecutive weeks of legislative committee meetings and the two-month legislative session – The FLORIDA Channel live streams over 850 events with as many as 30 events taking place in a single day, 13 at one time and some streaming back-to-back on the same encoder. The remainder of the year, between 500 – 1,000 events are streamed live with an average of five events taking place simultaneously. The Florida Channel’s current environment includes approximately 70 TB of video storage with growth ranging from 5 to 20 TB per year. Monthly outbound streaming bandwidth consumption has reached peak levels of approximately 400 TB.
