The Vendor is required to provide the City with a comprehensive classification and compensation study to evaluate and provide recommendations to enhance the current compensation structure.
- The City’s 415 active job classifications will be reviewed over a 4-year period, such that no one year will include more than 150 job classifications. The City has approximately 1,000 full-time employees.
- Over four years, review all job classifications, confirm, and recommend changes using all available data within the consultant’s data warehouse and information acquired via surveys.
- Services include:
• Attract and retain qualified employees.
• Maintain competitive salaries and benefits compared to other employers (governmental and nongovernmental) within the area.
• Ensure positions performing similar work with a similar level of complexity, responsibility, knowledge, skills, and abilities are classified together.
• Provide salaries in proportion to assigned duties.
• Offer justifiable pay differential between individual classes and resolve any compression issues.
