The Vendor is required to provide consulting services related to the development of comprehensive plans.
- The chosen firm must be capable of providing the services required for effective public engagement, mapping, statistical research, graphic design, technical writing, and other tasks required to satisfy the state’s requirement for a local comprehensive plan.
- Service include:
• Maintaining a project website for the duration of the project.
• Branding and theme development to ensure the comprehensive plan has a unified look and message.
• Hosting the content for assembly into one file that will make up the new comprehensive plan. Appendices are expected.
• Map development, and the development of graphic elements that present the material in a visually appealing manner.
• Technical writing in partnership with planning staff to capture current conditions, goals, objectives, and the strategic plan.
• The firm will be responsible for providing those content areas as needed.
• Hosting surveys, public input meetings, focus group meetings and other types of citizen engagement or facilitation sessions to receive public input.
• Meet with other town staff and the town leadership team, when needed.
• Attend planning commission meetings at pre-determined milestone dates to lead discussions with the planning commission and at the time of adoption present the plan to the town council.
• Assist with research of data such as census data, regional studies and affiliated plans that need to be referenced or used for content.
• Assist with the development of the closing chapter to identify strategies, objectives, and goals section.
• This will include collaborating with the planning commission, town council, and other stakeholders to capture the town’s vision for short term and long-range strategies and goals.
- Town planning and engineering staff maintain ESRI GIS files and Auto Cad files of town maps and data.
- Appealing graphics, fonts, images, maps etc.
- Responsible for hosting the In Design or other platform software during the drafting of the document and for assembling the multiple components of the plan into a final document.
