The Vendor is required to provide to develop, conduct, and analyze a community engagement and business climate survey for the city authority.
- Consultant will design and administer a comprehensive survey process that focuses on:
• Perceptions of the current business climate and economic conditions within the agency districts;
• The effectiveness of existing agency programs, services, and incentives;
• Ways in which the agency can better support, attract, and retain businesses;
• Key challenges and barriers facing businesses and stakeholders;
• Community priorities related to development, infrastructure, placemaking, and investment;
• Opportunities to improve communication, engagement, and collaboration between the City, agency, businesses, and residents.
- Objectives:
• Establish a baseline understanding of current business climate sentiment;
• Identify priorities and areas where the agency can provide support;
• Document significant challenges and barriers to business success in the districts;
• Provide insights that are data-driven to guide future programs and initiatives for the districts.
• Create an actionable foundation to inform future agency programming, communication strategies, and investment priorities.
- Create survey instruments, methodology, and schedules in consultation with staff;
- Recommend the most cost-effective and productive methodology for meetings.
- Collect business demographic data (size, employees, and years in operation, ownership type, and sector).
- Segment results geographically by corridor zones.
- Assess perceptions of customer traffic, market reach (local vs. regional), and barriers to growth.
- Evaluate awareness of and satisfaction with the agency roles, initiatives, and communication methods.
- Capture forward-looking perspectives, including business outlook and willingness to engage in agency-led initiatives.
- Provide benchmarking questions that can be repeated in future surveys to measure changes over time.
- Deliver results with detailed analysis and clear visualizations (e.g., graphs, maps, comparisons by business type and location).
