• Collaborate with university development and alumni engagement to refine preliminary campaign priorities
• Assist in creation of foundational documents and appropriate supporting documents to guide philanthropic strategy for campaign
2. Market analysis and campaign assessment
• Campaign goal range
• Donor interest and capacity
• Institutional readiness (staffing, systems, leadership alignment)
• Do school funding viability, specifically for a facility

1. Campaign planning
• Suggest campaign budget, structure, timeline, gift pyramid, milestones, benchmarks, and evaluation methods
• Provide naming and branding guidance
• Recommend specifications for campaign tools
• Assist in developing a comprehensive campaign plan that includes planning for development operations; alumni and donor engagement and stewardship; and principal, major, planned, and annual gifts
• Assist in the identification of the most promising local, regional, and national prospects for campaign donors and volunteer leadership, including representation from the healthcare sector
• Recommend campaign strategies for reaching new and diverse audiences as well as recommendations specific to alumni and donor engagement
2. Major gift strategy
• Recommend key cultivation and solicitation strategies
• Assist with prospect strategy and portfolio development, including principal and leadership gift planning
• Recommend strategies for a new do school without an alumni base
3. Campaign partnership
• Serve as strategic partner to campaign leadership
• Ongoing strategic counsel throughout campaign planning, launch, implementation, evaluation, and refinement
• Help drive implementation of campaign strategy
• Assist with progress benchmarking
• Ongoing coaching and training for development and alumni engagement staff, university leadership, and volunteers
• Suggest board engagement strategies
4. Communications and engagement
• Guidance on campaign communications and messaging
• Review and provide feedback on donor proposals
• Continued guidance on donor communications strategy
• Assistance with public phase planning
• Guidance on public launch and campaign close event planning.
