The Vendor is required consultant to provide on-call and in-person (as needed) advisory and technical support related to board power supply operations. Services may include support for Market Operations, Energy Risk Management, and Settlements functions, including portfolio optimization, energy transaction strategy, modeling and economic analysis, risk management support, reporting, and analysis of market rules and policy developments affecting board participation in ERCOT.

• Perform economic analysis of generation assets and power supply resources.
• Energy Risk Management
• Improvements to energy risk management program, policies, and/or procedures
• Energy risk analysis
• Position and risk estimate validation
• Position and risk limit analysis and consultation
• Development of energy risk models
• Development of energy risk reports
• Fuel cost hedging analysis support
• Training and application use of Lumivero Decision Tools Suite and BEPM model or other software
• Other ad hoc requests in support of the Energy Risk Management department responsibilities
• Settlements
• Develop and maintain billed sales models
• Support fuel and energy reporting
• General Support
• Discuss utility economic issues with Client as requested
• Assist Client in identifying and evaluating strategies to improve economics of its system and related assets
• Assist evaluating and transitioning into a new software or model.
• Assist board in monitoring ERCOT market rule developments and supporting stakeholder engagement
• Participate in monthly Risk Oversight Committee and Risk Oversight Working group meetings as requested
• Attend periodic onsite meetings and provide presentations to management and/or Board as requested
• Provide other consultative services relating to energy portfolio management as mutually agreed.
