- The existing NetApp array is end of life, and we will no longer be able to receive replacement hardware, technical support or service if any hardware were to fail.
- this array runs the entire server infrastructure of the agency, it is of paramount importance to procure new hardware and professional services for service, support and any technical issues which may arise.
- NetApp may perform the tasks at the direction of the customer:
- High-level executive summary
• Unified storage system (ONTAP) upgrade service
• Cluster interconnect switch replacement
- Review compatibility matrix for required software firmware (SW/FW) level of all components
- Review cluster interconnect switches and management switches for required FW updates
- perform a ‘gap analysis’ for each iSCSI san host using interoperability matrix ("IMT") and identify required hot fixes, OS updates, iSCSI initiator and multipath software.
- Upgrade ONTAP to the designated version, includes intermediate upgrade(s) – per upgrade plan
- Verify that corresponding FW is upgraded as required
- Non-disruptively perform cluster-interconnect switch firmware upgrade - multiple FW upgrades may be required based on intermediate ONTAP upgrades to be performed.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
