The Vendor is required to provide end user device (EUD) Deployment Services for the procurement, development, implementation, operation, or management of products and services related to the provision of:
• A single, provincially managed, locally delivered, standardized approach to providing it services, such as infrastructure, ongoing software maintenance, licensing and purchasing, to the state health care system.
• A variety of programs and services giving health care providers electronic access to important patient information, such as laboratory results, medical imaging reports and prescriptions, from anywhere in the province.
• State health registration process and the issuance of birth, stillbirth, marriage, death and genealogy certificates.
• Enterprise security services ensuring the integrity of the state healthcare digital environment and protecting personal health information.
- Responsible for the on-site deployment of EUDs, including but not limited to desktops, laptops, VDI terminals, monitors, printers, workstations on wheels, IP phones, and associated peripherals, to healthcare and administrative facilities within the province.
- This work involves but is not limited to the following:
• Receive, warehouse, manage inventory and shipping/staging logistics to the project site for EUD.
• This includes warehousing equipment and managing the logistics of staged, just-in-time deliveries to the work site identified in the negotiated work.
• Storage may be required for specified or unspecified periods of time.
• Unpack equipment, assemble and setup in designated location, according to agency provided diagrams and direction.
• Configure EUD at the end-user location, including cabling, mounting, and peripheral connection.
• Performing on-site technical validation, including powering up and confirming successful connection to the agency network.
• Collecting and removing and disposing of old equipment where applicable, in accordance with agency guidelines.
• Updating inventory records when applicable and reporting deployment status to agency project coordinators and/or operational teams.
• Providing user guidance or instruction where necessary at the time of deployment.
• Liaising with agency technical teams for final connections to the agency network
• Tasks may also include clinical area consultations, final setup and testing, and preparation of documentation needed prior to agency handover. 30-day consultations with stakeholders to gather information on deficiencies and rapid changes may also be required.
• Preparation of appropriate documentation.
• For IP phones all work will be completed according to agency standards and direction:
o UCM / Unity / WAN VoIP Router and any VG analog configuration work
o End user desktop device staging, wireless phones, call forwarding, voice mail, develop departmental call plans, and prepare information required by agency, logistics, and deployment.
