Network Conversion Services

The vendor is required to provide network conversion services for its electric utility data.
- Esri utility network prototype
•    Evaluate the city’s electric distribution feature dataset and provide feedback for pre-conversion clean up tasks. 
•    Data mapping that includes city existing source data and its mapping to the corresponding feature classes, asset groups, asset types and attribute fields in the utility network electric asset packages. 
•    Provide a comprehensive migration plan with recommendations on which migration plan is needed to be able to incorporate the necessary items. 
•    Develop a prototype symbology map for review with the agency staff prior to additional customization. 
•    Develop electric system model for the enterprise environment with a schema that can be reintegrated with existing applications of city works, data voice and smart works. 
•    Develop electric system model with a schema that can be used by Milsoft staff or proposer to create a custom ETL (extract, transform, load) tool for their engineering analysis application. 
•    Perform functionality test to verify that configurations and settings are working properly. 
•    Provide short-term on-site training and documentation that allows city’s it and electric staff to maintain the converted data moving forward. 
•    Preference will be given to vendors who can provide instructions and guidance related to topics such as building attribute rules and preset templates for editors.
- Data clean up and implementation
•    Assessment for the existing system aiming to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for migrating and transition to ArcGIS v11.x. 
•    Perform all pre conversion clean up tasks
•    Proceed to load all data into the enterprise geodatabase. 
•    Verification of loading of all data.
•    Working in conjunction with agency to integrate the electric utility network with all applications within the enterprise environment as well as desktop environments. 
•    Thorough testing of all workflows with the agency GIS department, including subnetwork-related functionality, traces, and data validation. 
•    Training for server-side administration and designated editors.
