Network Management and Operations Strategy Development Services

The Vendor is required to provide professional consulting services to develop a comprehensive requirements framework and phased implementation roadmap for network management and network operations systems.
- This engagement will include assessing the current network environment, defining technical, functional, organizational, and security requirements, evaluating suitable Network Management System (NMS) platforms, and providing strategic recommendations to support secure, reliable, and efficient City-wide network operations.
- Provide for consulting services to develop comprehensive requirements documentation and a phased implementation roadmap for network management and operations systems.
- The network comprises routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and specialized systems from multiple vendors. To meet current and future needs, the City seeks to advance its network operations through standardized monitoring, alerting, performance management, configuration management, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop a set of detailed requirements that will allow the network team to achieve the following high-level objectives based on the current environment and with a view to future growth in the network infrastructure:
•    Ease of configuration
•    Security patching
•    Real-time network/system monitoring
•    Alerting and notification for all IT systems
•    Centralized dashboards
•    AI monitoring, incident analysis and automated response
•    Network topology and systems visibility
•    Incident response playbooks and runbooks
- Roadmap and Implementation Plan
•    Develop a phased roadmap for achieving these requirements over multiple years, considering resource constraints
•    Group requirements logically and define implementation sequence
•    Provide high-level effort, cost, and resource estimates
•    Identify integration requirements and dependencies
•    Document assumptions, constraints, and risks
