The Vendor is required to provide comprehensive utility network migration and implementation services.
- Professional services to support agency enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) modernization initiative, including the migration to Esri’s Utility Network, implementation of design software, and integration with agency operational and enterprise systems
- This fiber network is used exclusively for internal operational functions, such as SCADA systems, substation communications, and connectivity to City and County EMS facilities.
- Assets modeled in GIS include breakers, fuses, capacitor banks, switches, transformers, support structures, pull boxes, etc.
- The GIS is hosted on a SQL Server enterprise geodatabase, managed through Schneider Electric’s ArcFM suite and Esri ArcMap tools. Data is published as web map services and consumed in web/mobile apps, dashboards, and viewers
- Reduce operational risk. Transitioning to the Utility Network mitigates performance, and support vulnerabilities associated with aging systems, while strengthening the integrity and reliability of agency network data for day-to-day operations.
- Unlock enhanced analytics and automation. Building on current ArcFM capabilities, the Utility Network and ArcGIS Pro will enable more advanced tracing, phasing, and network analysis, providing better decision support and operational insight.
- Support long-term scalability for new asset types. The Utility Network will provide a flexible foundation to incorporate new assets, including solar PV, with improved data capture to support operational needs and advanced modeling (e.g., Synergi), ensuring agency is prepared for evolving grid requirements.
- Evaluating, reconfiguring, or retiring integrations and workflows to fully leverage Utility Network capabilities.
- Strengthening the representation and management of existing networks, including transmission and fiber.
- Reinforcing mobile, dashboard, and workflow automation capabilities that deliver tangible time and labor savings.
- Leveraging proven industry practices to accelerate service connections, streamline compliance, and reduce manual tasks through digitized workflows, automated reporting, and subnetwork tools.
