WI-FI Survey and Wireless Assessment Services

The Vendor is required to provide WI-FI survey and wireless assessment services to evaluate existing wireless coverage, performance, interference, and infrastructure conditions throughout airport.
1. Wireless site survey and assessment
• Perform predictive, passive, and active wireless surveys throughout designated airport facilities and operational areas
• Assess existing wireless coverage, signal quality, roaming capability, interference, and infrastructure conditions
• Provide all labor, software, testing equipment, transportation, and materials necessary to perform the services
• All services shall be coordinated in advance with commission staff
• Work shall be performed during commission business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) unless otherwise approved
2. Technical performance requirements
• Signal strength (RSSI) validation for passenger and operational areas
• Signal-to-noise ratio (snr) analysis and interference identification
• Capacity and client density analysis in high-occupancy environments
• Wireless roaming and handoff testing for mobile operational users
• Identification of dead zones, weak coverage areas, and performance deficiencies

• Ticketing and check-in areas
• Security checkpoints
• Gate hold rooms and lounges
• Concessions and retail areas
• Public circulation and seating areas
B. Operational and back-of-house areas
• Administrative offices
• Baggage handling and makeup areas
• Maintenance facilities and shops
• Operational support spaces
C. Public safety facilities
• Airport police facilities
• Environmental services offices
• Emergency response coordination areas
D. Outdoor and airside areas
• Ramp operational areas
• Loading bridges
• Ground handling support areas
• Other designated exterior operational locations identified by the commission
4. Specialized wireless assessments
• Spectrum analysis to identify sources of RF interference
• Evaluation of wireless conditions supporting operational technology (OT) and IoT systems
• Review of wireless conditions that may impact sensitive aviation or operational systems
• Documentation of environmental or operational conditions impacting wireless performance.
