Citywide WAN Services

The Vendor is required to provide for the provision of Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity to support data, video and voice communication that is reliable, efficient, secure and cost effective.
- Must provide information regarding the proposed Service including installation schedules, exact standards to be adhered to, as well as detailed drawings showing cable and equipment locations.
- Currently, the City has high speed managed connections across 26 City facilities/Firehalls. We also have unmanaged internet based VPN connectivity to an additional 28 City facilities/Firehalls. City Hall provides enterprise-wide access to our internal network.

- The City would prefer that the contracted Committed Information Rate (CIR) be guaranteed at the subscribed rate, e.g. 100Mbps connectivity must have a CIR of 100 Megabits per second
- Provide leased internet access services through an ISP, using a 1GB and larger connection, to the internet, which will be shared between all remote City locations, with pricing options for increasing bandwidth
- Capability to support internet, cloud services, SaaS, video conferencing and elearning
- Contractor will monitor service for up-down status 24x7x365, and report to the City any existing or potential problems which would result in an interruption of service or degradation of service
- After an event of interrupted service or periods of degradation of service of greater than 15 minutes, Contractor will provide a Root Cause Analysis report including preventative actions plans in case of future occurrences.
