The Vendor is required radio network system review and design services
• Public Works radio network consists of 11 sites around the City housing 30 repeaters used by the Water Department, Sewer Department, Solid Waste Collection, and Wastewater Management for communication with crews in the field.
• Public Safety radio system is currently combined with the County radio system. Due to changes in the local government landscape, the system may need to be redesigned as a standalone system or as part of a new City radio system.
• Provide a complete a review of the current radio systems, a radio frequency coverage and compliance study, and perform requirement gathering from all internal City stakeholders for the three systems.
• The Firm will use this information to deliver an overview of the current systems and radio frequency coverage, a determination on the feasibility of upgrading the current systems (and recommended upgrade path if feasible), and a manufacturer/vendor-agnostic design for a replacement radio system or systems.
• The Firm will provide cost estimates of the proposed solution(s) to be used for the City’s planning purposes.
• Services to be performed under contract include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Radio system evaluation of current City radio systems.
• Radio Frequency compliance and coverage study.
• Requirement and input gathering.
• Feasibility determination of upgrading the current systems and recommended upgrade path.
• Radio system upgrade and design.
• Cost estimates of proposed design or replacement solution(s).
• Detailed outline of project steps of design or replacement solution(s).
• Production of documentation of the proposed replacement or solution design(s) to be used for City bid requests.
• Technical assistance with bid solicitation phase questions.
