Vendors to provide annual comprehensive penetration testing and vulnerability assessment services for the City’s information technology environment
- Services shall include:
• Identify exploitable vulnerabilities and security weaknesses within the authorized environment.
• Determine whether identified vulnerabilities can be practically exploited.
• Evaluate the potential impact of successful exploitation.
• Identify opportunities for unauthorized access, privilege escalation, lateral movement, data exposure, and persistence.
• Assess the effectiveness of existing security controls.
• Identify weaknesses in authentication, authorization, access controls, network segmentation, configuration, and security architecture.
• Provide the City with actionable remediation recommendations.
• Establish a baseline against which future penetration testing may be compared
