The Vendor is required to provide prescription filling and pharmacy benefits administration services, and physician orders and administration records generation to clients residing at canyon springs.
- Provide professional comprehensive pharmaceutical services for all prescription, nonprescription medications, as well as any clinical management and technology solutions.
- Establish and maintain a medication kit for emergency, urgent, and common first-dose needs of the facility, where permitted in accordance with state board of pharmacy regulations and state statutes.
- Pharmacist consultation
• Provide pharmacist assessment and consultation support services for the clients of canyon springs as needed and requested by the canyon springs’ (CS) project representative as required by the overall treatment plan and applicable regulations.
• Services will be primarily provided in person with tele pharmacy services as appropriate.
• General duties are as follows:
o Monthly medication room and treatment cart inspections.
o Drug destruction within 30 days for controlled medications and discharged medications.
o Monthly drug regimen review (if RN completes review pharmacist must review quarterly).
o Monthly psychotropic medication review.
o Behavioral management review and human rights committee.
o New admission medication history.
o Collaborate with contracted pharmacy for new admit and discharge medications.
o Assist facility to maintain records as required.
o Shipping manifests, drug disposition forms, pharmaceutical waste manifests.
o Report irregularities in the dispensing and administration of drugs and other matters relating to the review of the drug regimen.
o Monitor drug recalls.
o Participate in client meetings as requested.
