The Vendor is required to provide all labor, supervision, transportation, inventory support, licensed pharmacy services, and materials necessary to provide ems pharmaceutical products, drug box restocking, inspection support, expiration tracking, and related pharmacy services for the department.
- Requirement:
• Supply medications identified in the pricing schedule, including approved equivalents, only when expressly authorized in writing by the city.
• Therapeutic equivalent, generic equivalent, manufacturer change, packaging change, dosage form change, or product backorder replacement shall be furnished without the city’s prior written approval.
• Inspect, replenish, exchange, and restock ems drug boxes, medication kits, and related pharmaceutical inventory in accordance with city protocols, applicable medical direction, and all federal and state legal requirements.
• Maintain inventory records for all products furnished under the contract, including medication name, strength, dosage form, manufacturer if requested, lot number, expiration date, quantity delivered, delivery date, and restocking date.
• Expiration monitoring and shall notify the city of medications approaching expiration within the timeframe required by the contract.
• Maintain commercially reasonable continuity of supply measures, including sourcing visibility, shortage monitoring, and escalation protocols.
• Any actual or potential shortage, allocation, discontinuation, backorder, or disruption affecting contract items, the contractor shall notify the city immediately in writing and provide a mitigation plan that identifies available alternatives, the expected duration, and recommended actions.
• Meet all delivery and replenishment timelines established by the city, including routine delivery and emergency replenishment necessary to maintain operational readiness
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional governing pharmaceutical procurement, handling, storage, distribution, delivery, and recordkeeping.
• Administrative fee, inspection fee, restocking fee, service fee, fuel surcharge, shortage fee, or similar charge shall be invoiced unless expressly included in the pricing schedule and accepted by the city in writing.
