The Vendor is required to provide eligible purchasers electronic access to employment and income verification (EIV) and public records search (PRS) services.
- Employment, and Income Verification (EIV), Customer-Directed verification, when the customer initiates the process authorizing access to their data and/or uploading documents, is used primarily to verify employment and income information for public assistance eligibility.
- The goal is to ensure rapid and accurate verification, which reduces benefit processing time, minimizes improper payments, and supports fraud prevention efforts. EIV services must strictly adhere to relevant laws, including but not limited to Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Public Records Search (PRS) Services, supports eligible purchasers in enforcing workplace regulations, conducting fraud investigations, and ensuring employer compliance. PRS tools are used to identify both current and historical employers, locate assets, maximize response rates for scientific surveys, and verify business affiliations.
