The Vendor is required to provide battery storage optimization software for include:
1. Solar PV integration
• The optimization software will help manage the use of the battery while supporting PV operation and shared poi limitations.
2. Physical PV smoothing
• Discharge the battery relative to real-time PV generation at same interconnection to yield a consistent injection (mw) at the poi while managing shared poi limitations.
3. Virtual renewable smoothing
• Discharge the battery relative to real-time PV generation at a different poi to yield a consistent injection (mw) at the poi while managing shared poi limitations.
4. Interconnection threshold management
• Limit the aggregate of PV and storage injection to the stated interconnection threshold, adjusting storage discharge in real-time relative to PV generation at the poi.
5. Energy production
• Offer energy into day ahead and real-time markets, for dispatch.
6. Ancillary services - spinning reserves
• Battery will generally be online and available, and deployable within 10 minutes in response to a contingency event.
7. Optimal stacking
• Any combination of the above which maximizes value while respecting interconnection, safety, warranty, and contractual constraints.
8. Remote override
• Operators can dispatch the battery via stop, start, set point, and control mode toggles in exception conditions (to be determined) without overriding safety and warranty constraints.
