The Vendor is required to provide insurance broker of record services for a one (1) year period with the option of two (2), one (1) year extensions.
- Requirement:
• Advise the city on matters relating to available insurance programs, products, industry trends and policy placement.
• Evaluate the city’s exposure as it relates to insurance.
• Obtain bids for expiring policies including, but not limited to insurance companies, joint insurance funds and all other available alternate risk pools.
• Review and advice on the city’s coverage decisions and policy placement.
• Assisting in the preparation of the city’s insurance budget.
• Review losses and claim experience as it relates to safety and loss control practices.
• Assisting with safety committee.
• Attending meetings with the mayor and business administrator or city council and others, as required.
• Participating in on-going meetings with city personnel regarding insurance strategies.
• The city informed as to developments affecting its insurance coverages.
• The acquisition of all policies as broker of record.
• Liaison with carriers as it relates to coverage questions, audits, loss reporting and loss runs.
• No claims administration is required.
