The Vendor is required to provide for professional services to develop and assist city staff in the implementation of a recycling and organics outreach campaign (campaign) to maintain city council goal of 75% waste diversion and to maintain compliance with campus outreach and education requirements.
- The selected Consultant will enhance and expand on the Campaign’s current focus on organics and contamination minimization; they may secondarily suggest recycling contamination for potential future Campaigns and will assist in implementation.
- This Campaign will effectively encourage participation in available diversion programs by English- and Spanish-speaking customers within single-family, multi-family, and commercial sectors.
- The selected Consultant will also ensure compliance with all current and updates to any federal, state, and local accessibility requirements for any online and social media presence.
- The selected Consultant will make recommendations on the use of social media: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and, NextDoor and other online platforms which may increase brand recognition of “cityRecycles”, as well as participation in available recycling and organics programs.
- TV – The City owns “cityRecycles” commercial advertisements. The selected Consultant will recommend channels and frequency of the TV spots to be run on local cable television (Comcast), including Spanish and public access television channel(s) as available.
- Transportation-Related Ads – The selected Consultant will make recommendations on the purchase and placement of advertisements, in English and Spanish, at public transportation hubs, bus stops, and on vehicles in the form of signage and “bus wraps”.
