RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide turnkey wireless solution for the ocean center that includes system design, hardware and software installation, and low-voltage cabling.
- system management and monitoring
• Solution shall include redundant wireless Lan controllers (WLCS) or modern equivalent.
• Solution shall provide a management dashboard for system health monitoring, reporting usage
by SSID, wireless access points (WAP), connected device, and bandwidth utilization.

1. The solution shall include an intuitive dashboard that provides:
a. Wireless usage statistics for the entire network.
b. Detailed breakdowns of usage per SSID and WAP.
c. Internet bandwidth utilization.

b. User onboarding
1. To simplify user access and enhance engagement:
a. Provide multiple onboarding options, such as:
i. QR codes prominently displayed throughout the building.
ii. Digital advertisements on reader boards and Wi-Fi signage.
b. Distribute pre-arrival instructions with:
i. Event-specific usage information.
ii. QR codes or links directing users to a tailored landing page.
c. Monetization and upselling
1. The solution shall support revenue generation through:
a. Tiered pricing models (examples):
i. Standard Wi-Fi: $5 for up to 4 hours.
ii. Enhanced Wi-Fi: $10 for up to 4 hours.
iii. Premium Wi-Fi: $20 for up to 4 hours.
iv. Access to all tiers shall be valid building-wide.
b. Custom landing pages:
i. Enable and disable as needed for events.
ii. Tailor landing pages to specific groups or events, including vendor sponsorship opportunities.
c. Hospitality integrations:
i. Centralize all offerings, including Wi-Fi upgrades and other services, on the landing page.
d. Advertising opportunities:
i. Sell ad impressions for local restaurants, shops, and entertainment.
ii. Capture user information (e.g., email addresses) for future marketing campaigns.
d. Enhanced user experience
1. Ensure ease of use to address common user complaints.
2. Offer a one-stop platform for all needs:
a. Internet upgrades.
b. Event-specific extensions.
3. Provide legal disclaimers to limit liability:
a. State that the ocean center is not responsible for device issues while on the network.

1. Implement a user acknowledgement process for:
a. Terms of service.
b. Data collection disclosures.
2. Offer features to support:
a. Secure guest access.
b. Data collection for attendee engagement analysis.
f. Technology recommendations
1. Utilize hospitality-grade solutions to:
a. Streamline user onboarding.
b. Facilitate landing page creation and customizations.
