The vendor is required to provide event planner to be contracted on a per-event basis to independently plan and execute events within a set budget.
- Planner will report directly to the county administrator and primarily coordinate with human resources, facilities management, and administration staff.
- Event planner will be responsible for:
• Developing event themes, concepts, and execution plans
• Serving as the primary external point of contact for event coordination on behalf of the county
• Negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers
• Overseeing event logistics, including venue setup, décor, and post-event cleanup
• Ensuring compliance with dougherty county’s safety, security, and liability requirements for venues and vendors
• Providing their own team to assist with event setup and execution
• Managing event flow and run-of-show to ensure a seamless attendee experience
• Coordinating logistics for parking, vendor access, and employee entry
• Ensuring proper placement of signage and directional materials
• Adhering to the approved budget for each event
• Coordinating with the public information officer for marketing, promotional needs, and post event follow-up, including evaluations with vendors and key stakeholders, and providing summary reports to the county administrator.
