The Vendor is required to provide operate, and maintain a MaaS advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) system and related services for its water utility, aiming to significantly enhance operational efficiency by enabling real-time water usage monitoring, accurate billing, and early detection of leaks through automated meter reading capabilities throughout the service area.
- The county in implementing, training, and managing a complete advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) system for its water utility, encompassing the replacement of existing water meters with smart meters, installation of a robust communication network, and development of a data management platform to collect and analyze real-time water usage data, aiming to improve billing accuracy, and promote water conservation initiatives with a focus on the meter as a service (MaaS) component the current water meter system relies on a combination of manual read meters and automated meter reading (AMR) meters, leading to delays and potential inaccuracies.
- The new AMI system will provide valuable data for improved water resource management and customer engagement.
- Provide a schematic depicting the system’s components and configuration.
- Provide a brief overview of the architecture and normal functioning of the system.
- The work includes developing and supporting the MaaS system, project management, transition, implementation, operations, maintenance, support, business requirements, pricing for goods and services sought by the County through this Solicitation.
- Offeror shall provide onsite assistance at the request of the county.
- Provide service vehicles onsite stocked with common fittings and supplies needed for normal service restoration and/or replacement.
