RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide conduct a thorough assessment of the district's current technological infrastructure and identify operational areas where artificial intelligence (AI) can be effectively implemented to improve operations and service delivery.
- Develop a comprehensive AI strategy and governance framework along with an adoption roadmap for the district.
- The framework and roadmap should be designed to enhance efficiency, monitoring, decision-making, and align with the district's long-term goals, including sustainability, cost effectiveness, and enhanced customer service.
- Provide recommendations for AI tools and technologies that are best suited for the district's needs, considering factors such as scalability, integration with existing systems, and potential for future expansion
- Incorporate risk assessment, cybersecurity, and acceptable use policies and strategies.
- Collaborate with district staff to ensure knowledge transfer and capacity building, enabling the district to manage and maintain AI systems independently.
- Deliver a final report and presentation to district staff and stakeholders that summarizes findings and recommendations
a. Current infrastructure assessment:
• Evaluate existing data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
• Assess the current information technology (IT) systems used within various operations processes.
• Identify data sources and the interoperability of existing technologies with potential AI solutions.
b. Risk assessment:
• Conduct a comprehensive risk analysis associated with the implementation of AI technologies.
• Identify potential biases in AI algorithms that may affect service delivery.
• Assess data security risks, particularly concerning sensitive customer information and operational data.
c. Policy development:
• Develop AI governance frameworks including ethical considerations and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Establish clear guidelines for data usage, collection, and privacy in relation to AI applications.
• Propose policies to ensure the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of AI systems.
d. Training requirements:
• Develop a training curriculum for district staff focusing on AI technologies, their benefits, and implementation strategies.
• Design an upskilling program to foster an understanding of AI data analysis tools and applications.
• Include modules on ethical AI use and the importance of data integrity.
