RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide maintenance and repair to the automatic temperature control systems at various school locations.
- The original equipment automatic temperature control systems in the various schools of the district.
- The district’s control systems are currently a combination of each type of system.
- Must maintain a 24-hour phone number to allow the district to place service calls from any location without incurring additional cost.
- The emergency service phone number must be staffed by a live operator 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days-a-year.
- Emergency operation must commence immediately for temporary relief of the situation.
- Emergencies shall be defined as any situation that causes an unsafe or uncomfortable condition and shall be designated an emergency at the sole discretion of the district.
- Non–emergency work must begin within 48 hours unless otherwise directed by the district representative.
- When work is required on a non-emergency situation, it shall be the responsibility of the contractor to provide a written estimate using the attached “nonemergency work proposal form” within (48) hours of the district’s request.
- This time shall be clearly indicated on a service call report which shall be presented to the custodian for signature at the end of each visit.
- A signed copy shall be left with the district at the time the technician leaves the building.
- Upon arrival at the building, the technician shall check-in immediately with the custodian on duty and inform him which service call or job the technician is working on.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
