The vendor is required to provide that branding and wayfinding plan for the city.
- The consultant shall exercise independent professional judgment in performing obligations and responsibilities under this contract.
- The laws and rules governing their professions and ordinances and recognized standards applicable to these professional services.
- Provide qualified technical and professional personnel to perform to federal, state, and local standards and procedures.
- Services provided by the consultant shall comply with federal, state, and local manuals, procedures, and memorandums in effect as of the date of execution of the contract unless otherwise directed in writing by the city.
- The city may provide job-specific information and/or functions as needed.
- Kick-off meeting and data collection:
• Schedule and participate in a kick-off meeting with city and agency representatives for the following purposes:
1. Discuss and establish project timelines
2. Identify key stakeholders
3. Review and request data and resources and information from city and agency
4. Discuss initial design directions
• Conduct at least one public workshop in the evening to allow residents, businesses and other stakeholders to participate in an open house format session that will reveal the ideas, themes, and personality that the port brand should embody.
• Develop and deploy an online public survey to gather community input on branding and wayfinding preferences.
• The survey will be designed to assess public perception, identify key landmarks, and understand navigation issues within the area.
• It will be hosted on the city website and promoted through various channels to ensure broad community participation.
- Brand and identity design:
• Design new graphic elements for the city and the agency that will be used in the development of the wayfinding signage program.
• Include recommendations for and incorporation of a tagline or marketing concept based on information gathered at the community meeting.
- Develop a wayfinding program design:
• Design and develop preliminary concepts for up to three proposed sign types to demonstrate application of chosen identity on potential identification and wayfinding signage.
• Work with a fabrication consultant during conceptual design to present cost effective solutions and present budget pricing for each concept.
• Develop a wayfinding plan that illustrates the recommended sign types, locations and types of messages for the new sign program within the agency.
