The Vendor is required to provide robust community outreach and engagement that focuses on increasing awareness and educating customers on department programs and projects, most significantly capital improvement projects.
- To successfully ensure customers are receiving the proper notices, door-to-door canvassing is used to deliver materials.
- At times, door knocking is needed to survey and educate customers based on the specific goals of the project.
- This may include canvassing for affordability programs, community meeting notices, input from customers on locations of a project intervention, post-construction surveying, and more.
- A canvassing vendor qualified to conduct door notice projects all year round, and potentially some door knocking surveying intermittently.
- Projects typically include neighborhood assignments ranging from 100 to 50,000.
- Projects may be assigned by providing a list of addresses or a map.
- The organizational capacity to be able to add staff temporarily for the larger canvassing projects and have the ability to respond to short notice canvassing requests by department due to a crisis communication or immediate project roll-out required by a local need.
- Opportunity is separate from the canvassing requirement for the department billing & collections group that handles water service interruption notices.
