The vendor is required to provide from firms or individuals interested in providing proposal development services, focusing on large multidisciplinary or center-level proposals, to faculty at university.
- Proposal Development:
• Document writing, editing, and critique.
• Review proposals at various stages of the development process.
• Proposals may be in the form of a letter of intent, concept paper, preliminary proposal, or a full proposal, including supplementary documentation specified in the funding opportunity.
• Actions may include, but not be limited to, providing templates; data analysis (e.g., demographic, labor trends and projections); reviewing the draft for organization and flow, responsive to the funding opportunity, program design; substantive/developmental editing; proofreading/formatting
may include meetings or phone calls with the research team.
- Facilitation of peer reviews:
• Identify appropriate external subject matter experts and program experts to serve on a review panel, coordinate the review panel’s timeline, create reviewer evaluation forms tailored for specific needs of programs, facilitate the review, distribute and collect relevant documentation within the agreed upon timeframe, consolidate and assess reviewer feedback to maximize the usefulness of the review process to the university.
- Limited submission selections:
• For funding opportunities limiting the number of submissions from an institution, advise leadership on the competitiveness of the proposed projects.
• Activities may include reviewing short (1-3 page) concept papers, viewing presentations by faculty, attending meetings or phone calls, or participating in other aspects of an internal competition to aid leadership in selecting the proposed projects that should be developed and put forward for a limited submission proposal.
- Graphics and visual assistance:
• Work with faculty or development professionals to develop high-quality visuals, graphics, and data presentations to enhance research proposals
- Video assistance:
• Work with faculty or development professionals to develop high-quality video to conform to the requirements set by government funding agencies.
• Videos may be included in presentations given during site visits or as part of a proposal application
- Coordinate site visits:
• Development of schedule and milestones, event strategy and site logistics, coaching on overall approach and specific presentations and sessions
- Administrative support
• Services may include facilitating meetings, organizing workshops, coordinating program activities, preparing and distributing reports.
