The vendor is required to provide for performing high level crime and intelligence analysis work for the purpose of reporting and presenting crime information, statistical trends, and criminal intelligence gatherings.
- This position is a "grant funded" civilian position.
- This position is likewise subject at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.
- Assists with special analytical projects dealing with advanced casework which is highly sensitive in nature.
- Assists in the day-to-day workflow distribution, training, and development of crime intelligence analysts; reviews work for quality, content, and relevance.
- Assist in managing state anti-gang’s information sharing platform and building and maintaining gang’s website.
- Assist in the preparation of gang’s threat assessment, crime surveys, safety bulletins, newsletter, pamphlets and other projects as directed.
- Assist with administrative duties relating to gang’s such as purchasing of supplies, equipment, accounting for supplies and equipment, assisting administrator in applying for future grants and any other duties as assigned.
- Establish and maintain a professional and effective working relationship with the law enforcement officers and other gang’s participating agency employees and analysts.
- Collect, analyze and disseminate statistical data and significant activity quarterly reports relating to investigations from gang’s center participating agencies.
- Collects, analyzes, and distributes raw data extracted from numerous law enforcement data sources and compiles data into viable criminal intelligence information for investigative and planning purposes.
- Collects and coordinates information and intelligence; organizes, analyzes and prioritizes; determines reliability and validity.
- Develops link analysis, time/temporal analysis, telephone toll analysis, criminal threat analysis, crime incidents maps, or computerized charts to organize investigations.
- Prepares case reports, charts, graphs, and maps congruent with established procedures for management review as well as police command and field operations use.
- Writes synopsis reports of serial criminal activity detailing specific mode of operation and suspect descriptions.
- Facilitates the transfer of crime information between local and regional agencies.
- Attends and participates in professional meetings as needed.
- Acts as a resource and liaison between various stake holders including local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Maintains intelligence database, indexes findings, and reviews publications.
- May testify regarding the methodology employed in casework findings in court or official proceedings, as needed.
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
