The vendor is required to provide an assessment platform in grades k-5 that meets the requirements for screening for reading and dyslexia in k-3, as well as provides comprehensive diagnostic assessment and screening for k-5 reading and math, instructional recommendations and personalized learning based on results, and progress monitoring for reading and math.
- Agency also requires that the successful vendor accept the following stipulations:
1. List of representative services/resources to be provided by the vendor
• Summary of relevant evidence-based research of program implementation
• Alignment to the science of reading and the requirements for reading and dyslexia screening in state
• Outline of the assessments (diagnostic, screening, benchmarking, etc.) available for reading and math • Explicit linkage to state standards
• Summary of information teachers will receive after assessments, recommendations and resources provided for instructional next steps, and opportunities for differentiation
• Professional learning for teachers for a successful implementation that aligns with the science of reading and best practices for assessment reading and math
• A narrative section that addresses
o Professional development resources available to support introduction and implementation of the platform
o General work plan and time table
o Qualifications of firm including relevant prior experiences
o Key personnel who will be involved in the project
o Comprehensive pricing plan divided into options:
a. Pricing provided per pupil; pricing provided by school
b. Please separate cost of assessment and cost of any instructional components of the platform.
2. Selection of assessment platform vendor
• The capability of the proposer to deliver the services in an efficient and timely manner
• Responses from at least three (3) references for whom the proposer has performed services
• Composition and qualifications of the persons designated to form the proposer's staff for the services required under the RFP
• Resources that are tightly aligned to the science of reading, state standards, and the best fit for our staff and student needs.
• Intangibles which best demonstrate the proposer's ability to provide services to agency.
