The vendor is required to provide a service contract with a qualified contractor to perform elevator safety inspections, test witnessing, consulting, and audit services to be completed as required by the state.
- Elevator consulting and audit services:
• Perform and originate written elevator maintenance condition review reports.
• Perform and originate written modernization review reports, with budget pricing included.
• Prepare, originate and/or participate in the bid, specification and contract documents process for new and modernized elevator equipment.
• Attend meetings and/or conferences with city employees regarding code violations found at the time of elevator inspections including all on-site re-reviews to ensure compliance by the maintenance contractor and discuss test results when necessary, at no additional charge to the city.
• Provide expert witness testimony at trial.
• Appearance at deposition.
• Verify elevator safety code violations.
• Perform project management services relevant to progress reviews and final acceptance reviews of new or modernized elevator/escalator equipment.
• Originate engineering/design drawings for new and modernized elevator equipment and approve shop drawings from elevator contractors as part of a new or modernized elevator equipment project. - Provide advance testing notification, giving the contracted elevator maintenance company the option to complete necessary maintenance prior to the inspection.
- Provide summary inspection report to the city facility manager, listing the results and recommendations post elevator witness inspection.
